How to live freely, in times of tyranny ,
The Poetry of Resistance,
I am watching the clouds rush by as sunshine , then rain beats across my window. We are in a transitional time of the seasons changing , as the light and dark re arrange their dance and the temperatures change. In some ways this feels like a lull in this dramatically charged political and economic landscape. Where we the broken hearted feel the suffering and horror and still we rise.
I also have the feeling of a new term, shiny shoes and sharpened pencils being ready for new adventures in this school of life. It’s been so good to take a pause in August and to return full of new ideas and possibilities. Some of which will be be announced tomorrow.
Ideally I would like us to ease into the new term and to the start of this season . To be of the world but not in it, to hold all that is being asked of you now is a tremendous task . Not many people actively seek to be informed and take the actions that many of you do, this is indeed a courageous cohort. I salute you for being brave enough to see what is happening and still open your heart and soul to creating another future , than the one being forced through.
There is a Tibetan Saying “ May your view be as vast as the sky and you actions as fine as barley flower”.
I have chosen a short, profound poem, to share with you today. As a lover of words, the economy and depth of this poem is staggering.
“It is everywhere” says it all about how we live now and finding the freedom we seek….
It is everywhere , by Remi Graves
Green Leaves. Wind Kissed.
Closed Palms. Fresh hope.
Deep River. Free flow.
No signs.Open road.
Wide sky.Grow wings.
Feel light. Dream big.
No frame. New eyes
From dark.Find light.
Hug air.Laugh loud.
Breathe deep.Dance wild.
Smile wide.Shut eyes
Hold chest.Close mind
Ask cloud.Ask wind.
Ask earth. Ask field.
How to Live free ?
Hold on.Let go.
Give trust.Lend heart 💖
Fall down.Get up
Eat fear . Drink hope.
That’s all for now until I have the privilege to drop by later this week with a schedule and plans for the next few months. I will be offering you more ways for us to connect, enhanced value and support in these uncertain times that we were born for.
With Love and devotion,

The tyrants thrive on cages of fear, but your words remind me that freedom is a posture of the soul. Seasons shift, storms come and go, yet the wolf keeps his eyes on the sky and his paws on the earth. We live free not by permission, but by remembering — to breathe, to laugh, to rise again when the world would have us bowed.

Your words lift up, as does the simple and gorgeous poem. I'm looking forward to hearing more, Susan.
