Dear Courageous ,
Glorious blessings, on this Equinox, officially the first day of Spring. May this herald much joy , vitality and new beginnings for you .
To celebrate this auspicious day I share a Spring poem with you. Then there are five delights to explore with this month’s special recommendations. I am also including a wonderful podcast that
introduced me to which I think you will also love.Today marks the Spring Equinox , when light and dark are the same and a new season begins. For us in the North it is the awakening of Spring, for those in the Southern hemisphere it is the calling to rest of Autumn.
A day to celebrate Eostre, the Saxon Mother Goddess who symbolises conception, fertility and renewal. A reminder to us that each day is an opportunity for renewal, for change, for transformation. Nature does not stop to analyse , to complain, to judge, it is in the constant flow of death and renewal.
Being in the flow of life , in acceptance, in action and in no action is to be with the rhythm of your existence. Knowing all things come to pass and we are by our very nature creators in our desire to survive. Our ancestors knew this daily and they were able to adapt and be resilient. Now although it's shock to many, this is how we must train and strengthen ourselves for these times. Like our ancestors we must celebrate the turning of the season from dark to light, when the earth grows kinder and full of promise.
With this is mind I share this short and beautiful poem with you. I know you are busy, yet let these words remind you of all that is changing in your inner and outer world that makes you new.
‘Spring‘. by Christina Rossetti
There is no time like Spring,
When life’s alive in everything,
Before new nestlings sing,
Before cleft swallows speed their journey back
Along the trackless track –
God guides their wing,
He spreads their table that they nothing lack, –
Before the daisy grows a common flower
Before the sun has power
To scorch the world up in his noontide hour…

Lovely, lovely. Thank you! Hugs to you! It's so healing for a dog like me, who often wags her tail and knocks everything "arf" the coffee table, to read your posts. ^_^
